Description
Fattoria Poggio Alloro is a family-run organic farm where they produce: wine, extra virgin olive oil, durum wheat pasta and saffron. The Chianine breeding is the only one in the municipality of San Gimignano, it has about 50 cattle, they graze freely in the fields around the lake and are also fed with the organic products that we cultivate specifically for them such as barley, corn, oats, and hay.
Sharing is the basis of our philosophy. We like our guests to get familiar with old country traditions, to experience the beauty of nature, and enjoy the genuine and organic products of our land. A vacation or a stop at Fattoria Poggio Alloro will give you the opportunity to fully appreciate the true spirit and essence of Tuscan culture and tradition. You will soon feel at ease thanks to the warm, friendly, and cheerful atmosphere that originates from our organic lifestyle and family values.
Come and visit us and we will be happy to introduce you to the various types of wine we produce and their organoleptic qualities, together with the other organic products of the farm. Complete the tasting with an interesting visit to the farm to discover our history and various productions.
Visit of the farm and tasting of 5 wines, 2 types of pecorino cheese, olives, bread and tasting of extra virgin olive oil, ham and salami.

” Very nice experience to see the different facilities of the wine production and the cow stables. Wonderful view from the terrace where the wine tasting takes place!“

We visited this beautiful agriturismo for a wine tasting and tour of the farm and winery. It is beautiful, picturesque, and peaceful. Our tour guide was a sommelier who answered all of questions so kindly, encouraged our
kids to participate, and made us feel so welcome. Every person we encountered was kind and helpful. I recommend a visit here and we hope to return but this time for a weeklong vacation there!

If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck in Italy Fattoria Poggio Alloro is an explosion!! Dinner and Wine Tour Review: If you’re reading this while planning your trip to Italy, go ahead and make reservations like right now. This place is everything you could want out of a trip to Tuscany-the view, the wine, the food, inviting hosts, a break from the crowds. Everything about this experience was top notch from the moment we walked up and they knew exactly who we were. The dinner was unforgettable with as much food and wine as your heart desires. Every course was spectacular and the food kept coming! The wine/farm tour was so pleasant and the tasting was my favorite tasting I’ve ever done-laid back with more delicious bread and cheese for filler in your belly. I honestly cant recommend this place enough.

I loved this place! The staff was so knowledgeable and loved wine as much if not more than the people on the tour. A gorgeous outlook over looking the rolling hills of San Gimignano area. The Wine was beautiful and complemented the environment perfectly.
