Description
Meet our licensed guides at our Farmhouse at 08:45 AM and go to the nearest truffle area. With the help of our 4-legged friends, magnificently trained, and the experience of Mirco and Luca, our trusty truffle hunters, immerse yourself 360 degrees in this unique and exciting experience.
The research area was specially selected for the particularity of the truffle plants, for its accessibility and for the breathtaking beauty of the landscapes. In the spring we will walk near the archaeological excavations of Castel San Gimignano while in winter the tour will be carried out between Poggibonsi and San Gimignano.
Then, return to the farmhouse and enjoy a truffle-based cooking class with a tasting of 4/5 organic & biodynamic wines and 6 extra virgin olive oils just after visiting our Vernaccia vineyard, one of the oldest in the town of San Gimignano.
During the class, you will learn the secrets of truffles, how to clean them, and different ways to pair them. Then, we will start with the preparation of antipasti, a delicious Bruschetta with Lardo di Colonnata ( a typical Tuscan cold cut) or Tuscan Bacon and slices of fresh truffle on top, a first traditional dish composed by the preparation of Tuscan Pasta “Pici or tagliatelle,” a second course that will include the preparation of meat with truffle slices and a side dish. Finally, we will prepare a tasty dessert.
Attention, the truffle hunting area is around 20 minutes driving from the meeting point. Guests should arrange the transfer by themselves. We also advise you to wear trekking shoes and comfortable clothes.

Stephanie –
Spent a whole day here truffle hunting, at a cooking class, wine and olive oil tasting, and eating lunch in the vineyard. The service and activities were all stellar!!!
The weather was gorgeous as we started off the day driving to a nearby forest to go truffle hunting. The truffle hunter was friendly, and we learned so much from him about the different kinds of truffles we could find.
Getting back, we began our cooking class to make bruschetta, pasta, and chocolate truffles. All of which tasted delicious!
Then we got to finally sit under one of the umbrellas to enjoy our lunch, wine tasting, and olive oil tasting. I particularly loved the spicy olive oil with the medium balsamic vinaigrette.
The whole activity is a bit pricey, but it was nice not to worry about going from one activity to another as everyone at the family run winery communicated with one another to make our experience relaxing.
