Description
Dondoli Gelato Class is a great experience for kids and grown-ups. In the very heart of Tuscany, just where the modern age of Gelato started, you will find the best way to learn all you need to know about Gelato, taught with the passion of a great teacher. And you will make Gelato yourself! After a fun lesson, each group will prepare a Fiordilatte Gelato (with raw milk) and one made from a Seasonal Fruit (persimmon, banana, strawberry, lemon, melon). And then, the best part of all, we will eat the Gelato all together!
Sergio is the Maestro gelato maker of the Gelato shop Dondoli known all over the world and frequented by numerous public figures. His gelato shop is cited among the most important world guides and is continuously visited by national and international televisions. Thanks to his experience and the desire to experiment, he has created original and unusual tastes.
His first creations have now become famous: the Crema di Santa Fina® (cream with saffron and pine nuts), the Champelmo® (pink grapefruit and sparkling wine), the Dolceamaro® (cream with aromatic herbs), the Vernaccia sorbet, enrich the its already huge menu.
Sergio won the prestigious MAM (Maestro d’arte e Mestiere) award in 2016, the Italian equivalent of the Japanese “Living National Treasure” award and the French “Maître d’Art” award. Only 75 Maestri Artisans have been awarded in Italy and Sergio is the only Mastro Gelato Maker to have received this important recognition. Sergio also participated in the Gelato World Cup as a member of the Italy team that won the 2006/07 and 2008/2009 editions.

Did a 2hr gelato class with Sergio. What a character! He was so much fun but most importantly taught us to make amazing gelato! We made a milk base flavor that was incredible just by itself, and then we turned it into strattechello, and a strawberry one. All 3 flavors were delicious. He is a fun, charismatic guy who gives you a fun morning of gelato! I can see why he is so famous. I would definitely recommend the class.
