Description
Private wine and oil tasting with light lunch, vineyard tour, visit to the historic cellar and the 17th-century patrician villa.
Spend a pleasant cultural moment among ancient cellars, 17th-century villas and splendid gardens tasting our organic products.
Panoramic terrace: company presentation and historical context. The terrace is located on the top floor of the cellar and was designed to have the functions of a farmyard. It overlooks the Porta vineyard and the Valdelsa, in which the profile of the towers of San Gimignano stands out clearly, framed by cypress trees. Here the welcome takes place and the first stories about the local history and our family.
Walk in the vineyard: fundamentals of organic and regenerative agriculture
Visit to the historic cellar: fundamentals of natural winemaking. Created after the purchase of the Fattoria, they consist of two main bodies: The tunnel dug in 1870 in the sandstone under the village of Vico, where the wines destined for the reserve rest in 350 l and 500 l barrels of Allier oak. The natural humidity conditions and low temperatures guarantee the ideal environment for the maturation of the wines. The cellar, built in 1920, houses the steel vats for refining and assembly, the bottling plant and on the upper floors the warehouse for the bottled wine and the granary.
Visit to Villa Guicciardini, visit to the ancient oil mill and its garden: On the upper floors of the Fattoria, located at the south-east end of the village of Vico, there is the noble apartment, where the patrician families who owned it lived. We invite you on a journey through time to relive the environments of the Tuscan aristocratic society. From a smaller room you reach the heart of the house, you enter a tiny and prodigiously frescoed chapel. The work of an excellent seventeenth-century painter, Giovanni Mannozzi from San Giovanni, it is dedicated to the Madonna and the episodes of her life, portrayed in six larger frescoes and others of smaller dimensions. The landscapes depicted have a strangely familiar air, they are in fact localities in the surrounding area that frame these sacred images.
A small Eden in which flowering pergolas, aromatic plants and fruit trees follow one another in a play of scents and colors.
A colony of completely self-sufficient tortoises has lived there for more than fifty years, which animate it from spring to autumn while in the colder months they spend hibernation in underground dens. From the garden you can enjoy a splendid view of the Valdelsa, over which the towers of San Gimignano proudly watch.

I recently visited the Fatorria Majnoni Guicciardini winery as a couple and I must say it was a truly exceptional experience. From start to finish, it was a 5-star experience that exceeded all my expectations.
Our guide, Cesare, was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the art of winemaking. He took the time to explain the entire process, from the vineyards to the cellar, and shared fascinating insights into the history and traditions of the winery. It was evident that winemaking runs deep in the family, as the business has been passed down through generations.
Cesare was patient and attentive, answering all our questions with enthusiasm. He made us feel welcome and engaged throughout the tour.
During the visit, we had the opportunity to sample 4 of their exquisite wines. Each one was a delight to the senses, showcasing the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into every bottle. In addition, we were treated to a selection of cheese and cold cuts, accompanied by a delicious fig jam, bread, and olive oil. It was the perfect pairing to complement the wines and added an extra touch of indulgence to the experience.
One aspect of the winery that truly fascinated us was its rich history. The visible repairs from World War II added an intriguing layer of historical significance. It was a reminder of the resilience and determination of the family to continue their winemaking legacy despite the challenges they faced.
Overall, we highly recommend visiting the winery. The combination of a passionate guide like Cesare, exceptional wines, and a deep sense of history make it a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts and history buffs alike.

For a wine tasting and lunch experience, this is a 10 out og 10 rating. We were given a excellent lecture in how the wine were produced as well as an insight into the history of the area. We also enjoyed very much the tour of the historical villa that was part of the farm. It was topped with a great lunch and wine tasting session. It all took place in a beautiful cellar that was previously used for pressing olives. The atmosphere, the wines and the lunch buffet was just perfekt. And we had plenty of time to enjoy the whole experience.

My wife Karen and I had a wonderful time visiting your winery! We learned so much, and the tour of your home was incredible. It is a museum filled with beauty, and we were lucky to have had the opportunity to visit. The wine tasting and lunch were perfect. Thanks again for the great tour!
